Center History

  1. Information Security Center

    The Cybersecurity Center was established in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 27 July 2013 No. PQ-1989.
  2. «Center for Assistance in Ensuring Information Security and Public Order»

    Reorganized in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 29 August 2017 No. PQ-3245.
  3. «Technical Assistance Center» State Unitary Enterprise

    Established by the Decree PQ-4024 dated November 21, 2018.
  4. «Cybersecurity Center» State Unitary Enterprise

    Operating in accordance with the Decree PQ-4452 dated September 14, 2019.
  5. «Cybersecurity Center» State Institution

The Center was initially established under the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan as «Information Security Center» state institution by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 27, 2013 PQ-1989 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 16, 2013 250 in accordance with the Resolution commenced its activities as a non-profit organization in the form of a state institution.

Later, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PQ-3245 in order to implement the decision and using modern technologies «Safe City» in order to implement the project of creating a single hardware-software complex «Information Security Center» of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan «Center for Assistance in Ensuring Information Security and Public Order» was reorganized.

Then, as the «Technical Assistance Center» State Unitary Enterprise under the State Inspection for Control in the Field of Informatization and Telecommunications of the Republic of Uzbekistan «Technical Assistance Center» as a state unitary enterprise by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PQ-4024 in accordance with the Resolution operated as an organization in the form of a state institution.

In accordance with the Decree No. PQ-4452 dated September 14, 2019, in 2019–2026 the "Cybersecurity Center" operated as a SUE.

Since it has been transformed into a state institution pursuant to the relevant decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it currently operates as "Cybersecurity Center" State Institution.

The main tasks of the Center are:

  • Gathering information on current threats to information security.
  • Analyzing methods used by lawbreakers to carry out unauthorized actions in the information space.
  • Certifying hardware and software products in information technology objects.
  • Assisting state agencies and organizations in developing and implementing information security policies for their systems and resources.
  • Ensuring the information security of state information systems and resources, as well as the national segment of the Internet.
  • Timely notifying national Internet users about threats to information security.
